Who is Lewis Hamilton?
Lewis Carl David Hamilton is a professional Formula 1 racing driver who is currently driving for team Mercedes AMG Petronas’. His date of birth is the 7th of January, 1985 and his height is 5ft 9 inches. Lewis was born in Stevenage, England. You can see his profile on Formula One (F1 site).
He was a sporty child growing up so he was always fit and active. It wasn’t sport that was his primary interest, though. Instead, his main interests lay in cars and motor vehicles. His father gave him a remote-control car at just six years of age, and he was hooked from that very moment. He actually entered racing competitions for remote-controlled cars, and he did extremely well.
He played football in his free time and considered trying out as a pro footballer. He instead raced in Go Kart contests and would win consistently. In 2001 he started his career as a racing driver, and despite crashing, he went on to become dominant in formula three.
In 2007 he made his debut for Formula 1, finishing third. He then placed second, before winning the Hungarian Grand Prix. Having signed with Mercedes, Lewis has consistently found himself in contention for the top spot at various Grand Prix events, and he is also one of the most marketable drivers in the history of the sport.
