Wayne Rooney Bio: 

Wayne Rooney is an English professional football player born on October, 24th 1985 in Croxteth, England. Throughout his career, he mostly played as a forward player and sometimes in midfield positions too. Wayne is a rock-solid performer for the teams that he has played in scoring the record number of goals for both the England National team and Manchester United.

After playing for two seasons at Merseyside club, he made the switch to Manchester United in 2004. At that time his contract was valued at 25.6 million pounds sterling. He won over 15 trophies for this club, including the FA Cup, Champions League, and 5 English Premier League titles. He scored 208 Premier League goals. This puts Rooney just behind Alan Shearer for all-time goals scored in the Premier League.  

Wayne Rooney came on the scene in 2003, at the age of 17 becoming the youngest player ever to play for the English team. And also scoring making him the youngest ever English goal scorer. Rooney has represented his country at the 2006, 2010, and 2014 World Cups, with him being recognized at England’s best player.
