It’s that time of year again, the time when we pick a side and scream at the TV with all our might. With Super Sunday upon us, celebrities all over the country are telling us who they’re rooting for, but sporting stars tend to be a little more subtle. Some come right out and say it, some wear garments with supportive messages, whilst others, well, they make us think a little more. With that in mind, did Drew Brees just give us the biggest clue yet on who he’s rooting for?

Brees was recently pictured court-side at the Smoothie King center for the recent Pelicans – San Antonio Spurs game, and if we’re not mistaken, we’re pretty sure a huge hint was sent our way. Having recently celebrated his 40th birthday, the New Orleans Saints quarterback was obviously cheering on his team, but his hat told us something else entirely, possibly about his Super Bowl inclinations. Wearing a Boston Red Sox cap and no other garments relating to teams, many supporters guessed that Brees was giving us cryptic clues!
As we’re all aware by now, the Super Bowl will be contested between the Los Angeles Rams and the New England Patriots, with the Patriots going for a record win. The Rams beat Brees’ Saints in a super-controversial NFC Championship Match in Atlantic recently, and many feel that the not-so-subtle hat might be a quick indication of who Brees might be cheering on when Super Sunday comes our way. If that is the case, you can be sure that New England-based fans will be loving Brees and his supportive ways!
