Kei Nishikori is the only male Japanese tennis player who has ranked in the top 5 singles. He was born on 29 December 1989 in Shimane Prefecture in Japan. His father is an engineer and his mother is a music teacher. He has one sister named Renia. He got his early education from the Aomori-Yamada high school. In 2004 he joined IMG academy when he was moved to Bradenton in Florida with his family, at that time he just 14 years old. Kei Nishikori worked very hard to make his body fit and healthy. Career:
Kei Nishikori started playing tennis when he was just five years old. When he was 14 years old he won the Raid 21 tournament title in Rabat in 2004. And in 2006 he was the quarter-finalist of junior French open, which was held in morocco. Kei won Luxilon Cup in 2007 against the Michael McClune that was held at Sony Ericsson Open.
In 2007 Kei Nishikori started his professional career after qualifying the ATP main draw in Los Angeles. After his outstanding performance in ATP, he becomes the newcomer of the year 2008. He also represents Japan in the Olympics 2008 in Beijing. In 2012 Kei completed his singles and doubles in Olympics held in London. He also won the first tennis medal for Japan in 96 years.
